Before the days of endless to-do lists, there was cooking. I used to love to watch cooking shows as I savored my own home cooked meal or flip through cookbooks for that next meal that would delight my taste buds.
But as the years went by, and life got busy, cooking became a forgotten love. Gone were the days of spending a lazy Sunday afternoon finding a new recipe, shopping for the ingredients, and enjoying the building of this masterpiece.
The new era of cooking was one that only happened when we had a dinner party, because certainly, Monday through Friday, there was no time.
And in later years, cooking became a way for me to keep myself healthy, to keep away the fatigue and brain fog….and the enjoyment of a meal, by deleting all sugar, including fruit, all processed foods and all gluten.
I’m remembering how the making of a great meal felt like an adventure, where the process from start to finish, recharged me.
So, with this new time in my life, I’m ready to return to an old love, and discover new ways of cooking, that make me feel healthy, and are enjoyable to my taste buds! It’s a challenge I can’t wait for.
