One of the things I love about being a physical therapist, is the connections I make with my patients, the relationships that develops through the course of visits and the conversations that ensue. These conversations are often grouped around the central theme of what we’re loving at that moment, from books, to current events and occasions.
One recent day centered discussion around the amazing new movie, A Star is Born, with, in my opinion, outstanding performances by Lady Gaga, regarding her acting, and Bradley Cooper regarding his singing.
I wanted to bring similar conversations to this blog, since this journey is about finding joy, why not share what I’m currently loving?
My first topic? An article in the September 2018 issue of Vogue that highlighted an excerpt from Bill Cunningham’s book Fashion Climbing A Memoir with Photographs. What in the Vogue article caught my attention? The richness of his words, his descriptions, and his story about spending evenings in one of my favorite places, enjoying fashion magazines.

This is a book meant to be read slowly, for the journey it takes you on, rather than the conclusion it presents. If you’re in need of something to help you slow down, and immerse yourself in, then I highly recommend it! Hope you enjoy the experience!
And for those of you that read my last blog on not saving things for special occasions, Fashion Climbing would have been a book I placed on my bookshelf, and saved, but not this time. I dove right into it!
